Visit to : Dudley Zoological Gardens : on November 5th. Conference hotel is the Village Hotel Hotel in Dudley - UK Accommodation - VILLAGE Leisure Hotels where the scientific sessions will be held.

Delegates are asked to quote booking reference DUDLO51110 when booking rooms at the hotel. Rates are £60 Bed and Breakfast per room per night. The rooms allocated will be held on an allocation basis and be released 14 days prior to the event. When delegates call to make a reservation they will have to make a £25 non-refundable, non-tranferable deposit. Final delegate numbers need to be given to the hotel 14 days prior so book early!

BVZS Spring meeting 2011
It is hoped to have this event at Howletts/Port Lympne Zoo in Kent.
Dates to be finalised soon but likely to be April 30th - May 1st with visits to Howletts/Port Lympne on the friday prior. We have invited Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka of http://www.ctph.org/ to be our invited Plenary speaker and she has kindly accepted the invitation so once more is available this site will be updated

Theme: Mammalian Medicine & Surgery
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of BVZS in 2011 a Conference will be on Saturday November 12 and Sunday 13th. The theme will be "Recent Advances in non-domestic Animal Medicine"

Our Plenary speaker will be Dr Lee Durrell Dr Lee Durrell honoured with award | Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust
Carden Park Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa have kindly offered to supply a shuttle bus for those delegates due to join us to celebrate our 50th Anniversary conference and who intend to travel to Cheshire by train. The shuttle will transport attendees from Chester mainline station to the host venue, free of charge on Friday evening (11th November 2011) and again once the conference has finished on Sunday afternoon (13th November 2011) to transfer guests back to the station. If this free transfer is something you’d like to take advantage of you will need to notify Derek Lyon by email DGLyon9@aol.com or secretary@bvzs.org at least 4 weeks prior to the conference with your estimated time of arrival and departure into and out of Chester train station. Only if there is sufficient interest in this facility will it be implemented.
N.B. There is plentiful complimentary car parking available onsite for those delegates wishing to drive to the conference.
2012 Meetings It is hoped to have one in Scotland. Council will be reviewing venues
